The South American started

Uruguay and Colombia were in charge of opening the South American Sub 17 Championship on Thursday, which is played on Ecuadorian soil, in a goalless draw.

In a match marked by rain and a blackout, both teams gave us an even match and fought in the middle of the pitch, with clear situations for both teams throughout the match.

Among those called up for our team is Mateo Peralta, a midfielder who wears the number 10 on his back, a player for Danubio Fútbol Club and Unique Talent Group.

Uruguay is part of group A along with Colombia, Brazil, Chile and the local Ecuador, while group B is made up of Argentina, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela and Bolivia.

Uruguay’s next matches will be on Monday the 3rd at 6:30 p.m. against Chile, Wednesday the 5th at 9:00 p.m. against Ecuador and will close the group stage against Brazil on Friday the 7th at 9:00 p.m.

The first 3 of each group will make up the final hexagonal that distributes 4 places for the world championship of the category to be held in Peru in October.

Best of luck to Mateo and teammates in this tournament!
